ART: due the week of September 6: Many examples of literature have been turned into movies and comic strip or graphic novels. Create a comic character that comes from one of your favorite stories or books. Make the figure as large as the paper and pay attention to your use of color. Use crayons or markers.

School Pictures for Grades 1  8 on Thursday, September 9 starting at 8:30 a.m.
Black & Gold Day
In support of our New Orleans Saints 2010 season opener, the students may bring a Saints T-shirt or jersey to wear over their school uniform after pictures are taken on Thursday, September 9th. Black and gold socks (same color and same design on each foot), pins, & hair ribbons(uniform ribbons for pictures) can also be worn. T-Shirts or jerseys may not have any questionable slogans or writing on them.

Wednesday: Review WB p. 5
Thursday: DO WB p.6

ENGLISH
Tuesday: Review text p.314-325, and WB p.1, 2, 5, 7 for Test tomorrow.
Wednesday: None.
Thursday: WB p.10

SOCIAL STUDIES
Tuesday: Study definitions #1-6 for Lesson 1, Definitions #1-5 for Lesson 2, and NOTES sheet for Test on Thurs.
Wednesday: Same.

SPELLING
Tuesday: Write the words on p.14 in ABC order.
Wednesday: Write the words on p.14 two times and p.16 three times.
Thursday: Study the words on p.14 & p.16 for test tomorrow.

READING (Rms. 105 & 106)
Tuesday: Study Phonics p.7-17 for Test tomorrow.
Wednesday: Be reading for Accelerated Reader.
Thursday: Study vocabulary for Lesson 4.

NOTE TO PARENTS: 1. A jumper was left in Mrs.Westerfields room by a Pep Squad member last week. Please send a note to your childs teacher if the jumper is yours.
